It's already Thursday! The week before an ENK show is always hectic. It's weeks like this that I ask myself where I can find another 10 hours in the day? It seems like the family-career juggling becomes just a bit more challenging, but this is what it's all about!
It's springtime in the city and the change of seasons always brings new ideas, new colors, and new inspirations...even in the midst of all the stuff that needs to be done.
It's been a month since New York fashion week wrapped up and you can already start to see the effects on women all over the city. I am feeling it and the energy is exciting.
We are starting to see Parisian influences on the streets of New York - especially when it comes to color.
Back at the design table color combinations I wouldn't have entertained last year are talking to me and begging for attention. Also, the interest in hand-work is pushing me to re-think some of the classic peices little girls have come to rely on season after season.
Maybe it was watching a Woody Allen film, but I am more interested in words, verbage, and puns woven as witty statements in the my jewelry this season.
Just got off the phone with a few of my special clients - more later...lots to do...can hardly wait to be back at Javitz and see what my fellow designers have come up with this season...we all inspire each other.
